As 2023 draws to a close our Managing Director, Fran Murray looks back at some of his personal highlights and favourite projects throughout the year. From the 3-day festival at Electric Picnic with Three Ireland, to shoot their City Stages campaign to helping a new Irish brand and health-store create an engaging identity.
Time flies when you’re having fun (the quote has been attributed to Albert Einstein, but also Samuel Beckett and many others – regardless of whom I agree). Its hard to cherry pick highlights from 12-months especially when it has passed so quickly but here are some noteworthy mentions.
MyVP by Localise and Big Dog Digital
We have has the privilege of calling localise a client and friend for the past 4-years. Having worked with them on creating a virtual volunteering programme the next phase was something very unique and special.
MyVP is a space to recognise and validate your volunteering achievements. It is also is a pathway to higher and further education and it will be taken into consideration when allocating certain places for study. MyVP lets potential employers know the full range of attributes an individual has to offer.
The Wellness Pantry
Helping to create a new brand and identity from the ground-up is probably one of our favourite type of projects at Big Dog Digital and working with The Wellness Panty was certainly no exception to this. Their mission a simple one “to create a wellness haven located in the heart of Bundoran, Co. Donegal.”
Our remit was wide-ranging from creating the initial brand identity, shop signage, print collateral, social media elements and simple brochure website. I love how our design team captured essence of wellness, location and simplicity within the brand.
The Skin Nerd & Skingredients
A new client to Big Dog during the year was The Skin Nerd and Skingredients who’s core philosophy is that they put the ‘care’ in ‘skincare’. We helped them prep for their Christmas campaign and lifestyle shots with a vibrant photoshoot a sample of which is below.
Steyn Reddy Associates
Steyn Reddy and Associates have been a Big Dog Client for past 8-years. Having worked on their initial brand and website they felt it was time for a refresh whist keeping the essence of the original work. Helping them strengthen their brand during a time of growth we revisited all collateral from social media posts, slide-decks, letterheads and of course a new shiny website that enhances the amazing and bespoke work SRA do in the area of Land Access & Resettlement.
Feed Me Mother
Another retuning client to Big Dog was ‘Feed Me Mother’ their range luxury, sustainable, everyday nursing tops allow mothers to feed freely and easily. This was our second shoot with Feed Me Mother and on location in their hometown of Dungarvin. This meant a mini road-trip for a day of photos and video content for use on their website and social media channels. It might have also resulted in a night out in Dungarvin town for some pints of the blackstuff.
